PRIVACY POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy explains how ShiftTally (the "App"), provided by PURE HALO LTD (United Kingdom), handles information when you use its work-shift tracking and reporting features. Contact us at dev@purehalo.site with privacy questions.

2. INFORMATION YOU ENTER

You may choose to enter job, project or client names, hourly rates, work start and end dates and times, unpaid break durations, optional notes, and reporting preferences such as hour goals and overtime settings. The App uses this information to calculate working time, organize shifts, display reports and provide estimated earnings.

Avoid entering confidential or sensitive personal information in free-text fields or notes unless you are comfortable keeping it on your device and in any backup you create.

3. LOCAL DATA STORAGE

Shift records are stored in the App's on-device Room database. Reporting settings are stored in local app preferences. The reviewed version does not require an account, use an app-operated server to store shift records, or request Android's INTERNET permission. The App is designed to perform its core functions offline.

4. COLLECTION AND SHARING

In the reviewed version, PURE HALO LTD does not receive your shift records, notes, rates, or reporting settings through the App, and the App does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not sell App-entered shift information.

If you choose to export a backup, Android lets you select a destination and a compatible document provider. That destination may be local device storage or a third-party cloud storage provider, depending on your choice. Files stored with a third party are governed by that provider's practices and terms. If you share an exported backup with another person, that person may access its contents.

If you contact us by email, we receive the details you include in your message and use them to respond to your inquiry. Your email provider and ours may process that communication under their own privacy terms.

5. BACKUP AND RESTORE

The App can export shift data and reporting settings to a human-readable JSON file that you choose where to save. JSON backups are not encrypted by the App. Keep them in a secure location and avoid sharing them with unauthorized people.

The App can also restore a selected compatible backup file. After validation and your confirmation in the App, restoring a backup replaces the existing local shift records and reporting settings. This action may overwrite data that is not included in the selected backup.

6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Shift information and preferences remain on your device until you edit or delete them, restore over them, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App. You can delete individual shift records using the shift-management controls. Clearing the App's data or uninstalling generally removes its locally stored records and preferences from the device, subject to device-level behavior.

An exported backup is separate from the App's local storage. Deleting an in-app shift, clearing data, or uninstalling the App does not delete exported backup copies; you must delete those separately from their saved locations. Emails you send to support are retained only as reasonably needed to handle your request and any applicable legal obligations; you may request deletion by contacting us.

7. SECURITY

The App relies on Android's application storage protections for its local database and preferences and uses the Android document picker to access user-selected files without broad storage permissions. No method of storing information is completely risk-free. Protect your device with a screen lock and keep exported JSON backups in a location you trust. Backup files are not encrypted by ShiftTally.

8. CHILDREN

ShiftTally is a general work-hour utility, not designed or marketed specifically for children. We do not knowingly collect children's information through an App-operated online service. If you have concerns, contact us using the address below.

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The reviewed App version does not integrate advertising or analytics services. The operating system and any file provider you choose when exporting or importing a backup may process information independently under their own policies. Downloading or updating the App through Google Play is also subject to Google's separate services and privacy practices.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to ShiftTally, applicable requirements, or data handling practices. An updated version will include a new effective date and will be made available through the App and the public Privacy Policy page.
